Plan now to attend the IAIP 73rd Annual Convention in sunny San Diego where we will influence careers, develop leaders and connect members. Educational Workshops will include CE approved courses, topics focused on career development, and association management training for local leaders. Pre-Convention Workshop - SOLD OUT
Arrive one day early for Leadership Savvy, facilitated by Cheryl Krier, on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. For an additional $50, the pre-convention workshop includes your own personalized leadership profile and analysis. This is a perfect fit with using the skills developed with the CLP program. 

Education Sessions 
All of the educational sessions offered at Convention are defined by three different Learning Tracks to boost all aspects of your career. From topics on industry courses and trends, to developing your management skills, to enhancing your leadership proficiencies, you will be amazed at all the educational opportunities that are included with your convention registration.

LEARNING TRACK #1 – Industry Topics – Education courses for insurance professionals in all areas of the industry are offered in this track. Some of the topics that will be covered in these sessions include fraud, ethics, conflict resolution and fire remediation with a variety of the courses approved for CE credit.

LEARNING TRACK #2 – Career Development – Take your career to the next level with developing your leadership and professional skills. This track includes two courses from the Certified Leadership Program along with one of the brand new Career Development courses offered by Insurance Professionals.

LEARNING TRACK #3 – Association Management – This track is designed to provide comprehensive training in managing the local associations, councils and regions. Attendees will gain tools to develop strategies to be more successful in membership, networking, meeting planning and volunteer leadership. Learn from association management experts and take advantage of the opportunities for peer-to-peer interactions. This information will be transferable to other aspects of your involvement with other groups as well as your job responsibilities.

Directions and Transportation (DoubleTree guests only)
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego – Mission Valley is located 8 miles from the San Diego International airport. Drive time is approximately 13 minutes.

The IAIP Convention hotel rate includes complimentary airport group transportation to the hotel (based upon availability/first come, first serve basis with limited seating). Call the hotel upon arrival at the airport to request pickup by the hotel shuttle. Reference the IAIP Annual Convention.

Alternative transportation is available. Transportation to/from the airport is provided by Super Shuttle, Cloud 9 Shuttle, or other shuttle services for approximately $10-$15 per person. Average taxi rate to/from airport is $25. For more information on transportation, please call the hotel at 619-297-5466.

Reservations must have been made by May 12, 2014 to obtain the discounted rate offered to IAIP convention attendees. The rate includes the following amenities:

Community Project
In partnership with WHW and Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, we are hosting a Clothing Drive to support challenged job seekers in Orange County.

You can gain valuable networking opportunities and experience the workings of the convention through your involvement at the annual convention. General convention volunteer opportunities include assisting with Registration, Confidence While Communicating (CWC) Speak-off, Twitterati and Workshop Moderators. Take advantage of the free Saturday afternoon to explore California’s second largest city, San Diego.
