NC Outstanding CSR of the Year Award

Pam Grimes, CPIW, CIC, CISR, DAE, AINS, CBIA Named 2017 Outstanding Customer Service Representative (CSR) of the Year in North Carolina

 

 

Austin, TX (June 2017) – The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research has announced that Pam Grimes, CPIW, CIC, CISR, DAE, AINS, CBIA is the 2017 Outstanding CSR of the Year recipient for the state of North Carolina.

 

To qualify for this top state honor, Pam submitted the winning essay on the topic, “A friend who is a CSR has come to you for advice about a new customer service job opportunity in an agency in another city.  What five factors about the employer and the position would you advise them to consider before accepting the job?  Please discuss the most important factor first.”

 

Additionally, Mrs. Grimes was selected for having demonstrated outstanding service and professionalism within the insurance community.  The only eligibility requirement for this award is that the candidate must be an insurance customer service representative or have primary responsibility for insurance customer service duties.    

 

Pam has over thirty years in the insurance industry working for an insurance company, brokerage firm and agency.  Her current position with VFIS of North Carolina/Anders, Ireland & Marshall, Inc. is a business insurance account manager.  She handles a book of business for VFIS of North Carolina for fire departments and another one for water and sewer districts.  For Anders, Ireland & Marshall, Inc. she handles a book for business dealing with commercial insurance. Mrs. Grimes is a past winner of the North Carolina Outstanding CSR of the Year Award in the 1990’s and a past winner of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina’s Young Agent of the Year Award.

 

Pam is a past state president of the North Carolina Association of Insurance Professionals and past Region II regional vice president for the International Association of Insurance Professionals.  She has held numerous positions on the local, state, regional and national level including president, public relations chairman, state parliamentarian, and education chairman to name a few.  Her most recent position was chairman of the 2016 North Carolina Association of Insurance Professionals convention.  This was her fifth convention to chair or co-chair. 

 

She is a member of the 50-210 Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she currently holds the position of Sargent of Arms.  Pam is a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church – Willow Spring, NC where she serves on the Christian Education Committee. As the public relations chairman for Relay For Life – Johnston County, NC from 2014-16, she was one of three members on television talking about Relay For Life - the first time anyone from Relay For Life of Johnston County, NC has been on television.  Pam is a member of the National Association of Female Executives; National Association of Professional Women, American Biographical Institute, and a charter member of the Gulf Coast Section of the American Society for Quality Control.

 

Mrs. Grimes is married to Robin Grimes, who works for East Coast Equipment in Smithfield, NC as assistant parts manager and is a volunteer fireman for the 50-210 Fire Department where he has served for 28 years.

 

Pam is a native of Duplin County and is the daughter of Herbert Aycock and the late Judith (Judy) Aycock of Chinquapin, NC.  She is an honors graduate of James Sprunt Community College with an AA degree in Business Administration.  Pam holds several insurance designations.    

 

“Pam was chosen as a state winner for exemplifying the characteristics and qualifications required to be eligible for the prestigious National Outstanding CSR of the Year Award” stated Dr. William T. Mrs. Grimes receives a framed certificate, embossed with the special Outstanding CSR of the Year bronze medallion symbol, and is now one of 37 individuals eligible for the national honor.
