Master the art of effective communication! Confidence While Communicating is a ten hour course where you will learn and practice skills to communicate confidently and competently to supervisors, co-workers, and clients. The goal is to help students discover their own personal speaking style and to refine and improve upon it. Registration fee includes CWC downloadable student guide and Zoom video conferencing access. All class sessions are held virtually and size is limited to first ten registrations. 

In this class you will:

  • Learn speech presentation basics and how to apply them
  • Write presentation outlines
  • Conduct and participate in round table and panel discussions
  • Practice prepared and impromptu speeches
  • Gain confidence to communicate in all types of business situations

Class Date/Times: Thursdays starting May 4 from 5:30PM - 6:30PM EDT. Class schedule discussed on first day of class. 

Tentative Schedule:

  • Pre-Class Session: Monday, May 1 at 2:00PM EDT to become familiar with Zoom video conferencing session and test your equipment. This session is mandatory. 
  • Session I: Thursday, May 4, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session II: Thursday, May 11, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session III: Thursday, May 18, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session IV: Thursday, May 25, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session V: Thursday, June 1, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session VI: Thursday, June 8, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session VII: Scheduled around International Convention. Addressed in Session I. 
  • Session VIII: Thursday, June 22, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session IX: Thursday, June 29, 5:30-6:30PM EDT
  • Session X: CWC Speak-Off, must be held in a live setting. Each registrant interested in participating in a speak-off is to identify opportunities within their region (i.e. join a local association or Council Speak-Off).

Requirements: To participate you must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. Zoom access information and downloadable student guide emailed to class participants prior to May 1.
