The data IAIP collects is used to help better serve our members. It is our policy to collect and store only personally identifiable information that our members and visitors knowingly and voluntarily provide.
Information From General Users. IAIP does not collect any personally identifiable information from users browsing its Site. IAIP may choose to collect aggregate information, which includes but is not limited to: the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site and IP addresses. The aggregate information extracted from this data will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and will not contain personally identifiable information. IAIP may use such aggregate information for internal, marketing and strategic planning purposes.
Information From IAIP Members, Conference Registrants, and Other Customers. To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on our Site, members and other users are asked to register and provide some limited personally identifiable information. This information is submitted knowingly and voluntarily by the user. IAIP asks users to provide their name, member number (for members), organization name, business phone, and e-mail address. Similar information may be submitted to IAIP through membership applications, conference or seminar registration, and on-line store orders. Additionally, for some e-mails sent in HTML format by IAIP to its members through electronic newsletters, we may collect specific information regarding what the recipient does with that email. For those emails, IAIP may choose to monitor whether a recipient subsequently clicks through to links provided in the message. Other information IAIP may collect through this tracking feature includes: e-mail address of a user, the date and time of the user's "click," a message number, name of the list from which the message was sent, tracking URL number and destination page. IAIP uses this information to enhance its products and services and distribution of those products and services to its members. IAIP may also use this information for internal, marketing and strategic planning purposes.
IAIP may use information knowingly and voluntarily submitted by members, conference registrants and other customers in the following ways:
Member Services and Products. IAIP may use data collected to improve its own web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services.
Disclosures to Third Parties. IAIP also makes member contact information available through the Membership Directory to other members using this Site and to those who register for its annual convention. In addition, IAIP incorporates user-provided information into copies of the Membership Directory that it provides to members and corporate partners. IAIP may also disclose information you provide to us to complete a transaction that you request. We may also outsource some tasks, including but not limited to, the operation of some of our Site functions that require access to information you supply online. Members may request IAIP to refrain from disclosing the data it collects to third parties by submitting the appropriate opt-out form when registering as a member of IAIP . Alternatively, users may contact IAIP at membership@IAIP-INS.org or 800-766-6249 ext 26 to express their preferences if they determine later that they do not wish to have the information shared.
Disclosures Required by Law. IAIP may disclose personal information when required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to comply with the law or the legal process.
Credit Card Account Information. Credit information that you and credit authorizers provide for your purchase of products or other services through the IAIP Online Store will only be used to process the transactions you request. This information may be provided to and maintained by reputable credit reporting databases but will never be sold, shared or provided to other third parties.
