Instructor Certification Training

IAIP strives for consistency and quality in our instructors, therefore instructor guidelines have been created to ensure our members receive a positive learning experience.

Instructor Certification Training, available to IAIP members only, is designed to certify members who want to instruct the Certified Leadership Program, I CAN! Series, Career Development and Continuing Education courses. The first step in becoming certified is purchasing and reviewing the hybrid "Train the Trainer” course. The hybrid course focuses on instructor delivery methods and consists of reviewing the "Train the Trainer” Student manual and participating in a forty-five minute webinar. In addition to completing the "Train the Trainer” hybrid course, other unique criteria apply to each type of course and is outlined below.

We encourage you to certify yourself or use an IAIP Certified Trainer for your next event. We understand, however, that an IAIP Certified Trainer may not always be in close proximity. If this is your situation, for courses other than CLP, local associations are not required to use an IAIP Certified Trainer.

The course quiz is not optional for teaching renewal courses. It is recommended, however, that instructors complete the course quiz for the all CLP courses to confirm content learned, identify points to emphasize in class and gain IAIP education hours.
